My feelings about TV.

When television made its appearance on a massive scale, the whole world changed forever. We acquired the chance to know whatever was happening in wherever part of the Earth; immediately, in a blink of an eye.
The opportunity of knowledge instantly came to us as a miracle, but as we all know, great things come with big responsibilities, and I think education is one of those responsibilities.
I don’t like Chilean TV, because is boring, and the responsibility to educate people is not fulfilled. The news are manipulated and don’t show the reality of what is happening in the society. There are TV programs, as Reality Shows, that are garbage, and it’s a shame that people in their homes seek entertainment in that trash.
TV is not so important in my life, but I watch it anyway; particularly, when a football match is broadcasted. I don’t have cable TV, but I download the episodes of my favorites TV series. I put them in my hard disk, and then I connect the last one in my blu-ray.
Concerning that, I have to recognize that American TV is far superior. The quality of its productions is terrific. No one in the entire world understands “entertainment” better than Yankees. HBO is an example of excellence in that aspect. The Sopranos, The Wire and Game of Thrones, are samples of what great TV can become if money is spent correctly.
Finally, I think television is great, necessary, but still can improve, particularly the Chilean one.
